The Syrian Arab Army’s 103rd Brigade of the Republican Guard and 48th Special Forces Regiment are out for blood in northern Latakia after the Syrian Al-Qaeda group “Jabhat Al-Nusra” launched an offensive to capture Jabal Al-Qal’at near the strategic village of Kinsibba.
Minutes ago in the Jabal Al-Akrad (Kurdish Mountains) countryside, the Syrian Arab Army’s 103rd Brigade and 48th Regiment – backed by the National Defense Forces (NDF) and the Syrian Social Nationalist Party (SSNP) – liberated the villages of Ruweisat Al-Rishou and Jourah Al-Nahlah after a violent battle with Jabhat Al-Nusra, Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham, and the Free Syrian Army’s “Liwaa Suqour Al-Ghaab”.
The aforementioned villages are located near the vast Latakia-Idlib border that overlooks the northwestern countryside of Sahl Al-Ghaab (Al-Ghaab Plains).
In addition to liberating these sites in Jabal Al-Akrad, the Syrian Armed Forces have also made large gains near the Turkish border-crossing in Jabal Turkmen (Turkmen Mountains).
