Three people detained in Paris attack investigation released in Brussels

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region- Belgian authorities announced the release of three people who were arrested in Brussels on charge of having links with the November bomb and shooting attacks in Paris.

The people were arrested in Brussels on Tuesday following a home search over Paris attack in the district of Uccle, Belgian prosecutors said Wednesday Reuters reported.

The prosecutors did not reveal what they suspected the three individuals of doing or what their search uncovered.

France has been on high alert since last year’s January 7 attack on the office of satirical Charlie Hebdo magazine, which was followed by the shooting of a policewoman and a hostage incident at a Jewish supermarket that left four people dead. Three days of attacks left 17 dead.

On Nov 13, 2015 coordinated attacks on Paris killed 130 civilians.

ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack. French President Francois Hollande condemned the attackers as terrorists and vowed that France would confront them.
