Australia Gets Three Chinooks With Early Delivery

Boeing said it has delivered three H-47 Chinooks to the Australian Army last week, 85 days after receiving the order. The delivery brings Australia’s CH-47F fleet to a total of 10.

The helicopters had entered production for the U.S. Army and were delivered early to Australia since both countries operate the same configuration. The upgrades include a fully digital cockpit and the Cargo Platform Health Environment system, which monitors the aircraft to identify maintenance needs and reduce overall life-cycle costs.
