The US congress is due to draft a bill obliging the government to provide tens of billions of dollars of military and financial assistance to other countries and regions.
The Kurdistan Region is expected to be included.
The assistance Kurdish Peshmerga forces receive now, was on orders of President Obama and temporary. Israel with two billion dollars and Egypt with one billion have been receivers of US assistance for decades.
The US Government aid is free, but has its purpose. Financially, Washington wants to provide safe conditions for its companies. The US rival giving aid to other countries is China.
