AF awards F-16 integration services contract

Leidos has won a five-year, $620 million contract to act as the single-point service provider for the Air Force's ongoing avionics integration effort for its F-16 fighter jet.

The award calls on Leidos to serve as independent, prime non-facturing product support integrator for avionics intermediate shops that help perform maintenance and upgrade work on the F-16. Two other bids were submitted for the contract, the Defense Department said in its Wednesday awards digest.

Additional services include management of automated test equipment parts and related support platforms, plus sustainment and procurement of of test program set system hardware and software.

Work will take place through July 24, 2023 at Air Force bases in Utah and Georgia. The work will support seven major Air Force Commands and 23 European participating Air Force and foreign military sales countries.
