Inspired by slain Peshmerga, Kurdish student aims to bring light to refugees

Moayad is a Kurdish student who has been studying electronic engineering at Bielefeld University in Germany for five years.

He has named his project Hujam after a Kurdish Peshmerga fighter beheaded by ISIS militants.

The ease of producing this device has made the university think about expanding the project, and making more for the market.
