PoK PM Says He’s Not Sure About Remaining With Pakistan

The conflict between the civilian government and the military is escalating in Pakistan. Merely days after Nawaz Sharif was disqualified from his position as the Prime Minister of Pakistan by the judgement of the Supreme Court in the Panamagate, the Pakistan occupied Kaskmir (PoK) Prime Minister has hit out at the Pakistan Army and has threatened an intent to be annexed by another country.

Prime Minister Farooq Haidar Khan has said that after Nawaz Sharif’s disqualification, ‘we will have to rethink if we want to be with Pakistan or which country we want to be a part of’. This is a strong message to the Pakistan Army by the PoK PM who is a part of the PML(N) which is in power in Islamabad. Haider made the statement while addressing a joint press conference with Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Hafiz Hafeezur Rehman.

Haider added that once again the doctrine of necessity has been created, and that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) would not allow the democratic process to derail.
