DISA sticks with GDIT for network infrastructure support

General Dynamics’ IT services segment has won a new potential five-year, $491 million blanket purchase agreement to continue helping run the Defense Department’s network infrastructures.

The Defense Information Systems Agency awarded the pact through the GSA IT Schedule 70 vehicle. Work will take place over an initial one-year base period followed by up to four individual option years, GDIT said Tuesday.

DISA’s Joint Service Provider Enterprise Transport Management-Next Generation program covers the Pentagon, 85 external locations and areas up to 150 miles outside of the Washington, D.C. region.

GDIT’s services will include operations, maintenance, deployments and management of the infrastructures. The business first won the work in May 2014 under a predecessor program.
