The U.S. Army’s only 2nd Infantry Division/ROK-US Combined Division demonstrated countering emerging threats and ensuring stability in the South Korea region during Secretary of the Army Eric Fanning’s visit to Camp Casey and Rodriguez Live Fire Complex this week.
During the exercise, Fanning flew, armed and fired from of the Army’s last remaining operational OH-68 Kiowa helicopters.
Fanning’s visit was his fifth stop on his trip across the Pacific that began July 25. He said these sort of exercises provide value to the U.S. Army. “It’s remarkable to see when the Army does an exercise with another country, how much interaction there is with soldiers from all levels,” he said.
